I’m delighted to invited to speak at the fourth edition of Off The Page, the UK’s only literary festival dedicated to sound and music. Off the Page is hosted by The Wire.
This year’s festival takes place at Bristol’s Arnolfini over the weekend of 26–28 September. The opening night is an audience with Robert Wyatt, marking the publication of his authorised biography, written by Marcus O’Dair.
I’ll be speaking on Saturday, on the theme of Visceral Music. Saturday is a full day of events, including audiences with Carla Bozulich and Paul Gilroy, new talks by Mark Fisher, David Keenan, Julian Henriques and more. On Sunday there will be a presentation from Eric Isaacson of Mississippi Records and The Wire’s own pub quiz.
