If you’re into sonic arts and looking for a weekend excursion, do check out If Wet on tour. Part test bed, part show-and-tell, If Wet is an afternoon of informal sonic exploration in a village hall. It’s curated by David Morton and Sam Underwood, makers of the giant feedback organ that was recently seen in the foyer of the Royal Festival Hall.

If Wet will be touring over the next few weeks, bringing sonic artists, tea, beer and cakes to a handful of village halls around the UK. There are appearances from Hacker Farm,  Lee Patterson, Paddy Steer and many others. I’ll be there on Saturday 21 June in Sompting Village Hall (just a short walk from Lancing station). I’ll be talking about my work and will have one or two sonic experiments in various stages of completion (including Hugo and the robotic bells). Artist Leslie Deere will be there too – and Morton and Underwood will be shaking the rafters of Sompting village hall with their giant feedback organ.
